A letter to your younger self

A letter to your younger self

If you could write a letter to your younger self, what would it say?

What’s one thing you always wanted to do but never did?

For me, I always wanted to be in a play. Crazy, right? Especially since I was so shy back then. But recently, in honor of my inner child, I signed up for an improv class—and I. Absolutely. Loved. IT.

There’s something magical that happens when we return to our real selves—the version of us before life, work, and responsibilities took center stage. I tell ya... adulting is seriously overrated.

We don’t talk about our inner child enough, but she’s still there—carrying memories, emotions, and even wounds that quietly shape how we move through life.

Ever struggle to receive love? Fear failure? Worry too much about what people think? A lot of that stems from childhood. Inner child work is about revisiting those tender parts of ourselves with compassion, healing what needs to be healed, and embracing the joy, playfulness, and creativity we were born with.

So how do we reconnect?

🌱 Listen to her. Did she love jump rope? Riding her bike? What did she need to hear back then? Give yourself permission to feel and express.

🕯️ Create safe moments. Light a candle (you know I had to say it 😉), journal, read a romance novel—whatever makes you feel nurtured and happy.

🎨 Let yourself play. Do something just for fun—no pressure, no productivity. Dance, paint, jump in puddles. Your inner child will thank you.

Healing isn’t about dwelling on the past—it’s about freeing yourself to experience life with more love, peace, and joy.

What’s something your younger self loved that you can bring back into your life today?
